| I'm so excited!! |
I am so excited (and honored) to have one of my products listed in the weekly TeachersPayTeachers.com newsletter. It is a simple and easy experiment involving osmosis and diffusion. Students will clearly see that materials (water and glucose) flow from a region of high concentration to a region of lower concentration. They will also discover that the greater the concentration gradient, the faster the rate of diffusion. I particularly like this activity because students have to collect data, manipulate the data, calculate with the data, problem solve with the data, graph the data...well, you get the idea. I just love biology labs that involve math!
All of my lab activities come with complete, "ready to copy and pass out" handouts for both the teacher and student. The student handout will have Title, Purpose, Introduction, Safety Precautions, Procedure, Data Tables, and Follow-up Questions. I also include a page called "Teacher Preparation" that will include notes to help you set up and complete the lab successfully.
I hope that you will go to the TeachersPayTeachers.com site and download this activity for free. While you are there, check out my store. It's called "Science Stuff". I would love to have you become one of my followers. Here are the links that you need:

P.S. If you haven't noticed already, I have several FREE items that you can download. They are listed in the top, left hand corner of my blog. Please download them all!
